For people who manage or own property in many municipalities and/or countries having a system of creating and updating taxes on STR could be a good thing. Local governments love to increase and add new taxes. If you have 15 properties in Aspen for instance and you have an increase, have a tax class setting where you could go. in an update the increase with one click and have it auto-applied to all 15 properties is a game changer.

Here is an example from another PMS who we think did a great job on this feature.

    Tax Classes

    It would be great to have tax classes such as Aspen Sales Tax, Colorado Sales Tax, Aspen Transient/Lodging Tax. At this point you can add the tax to the appropriate listing and if one of the taxes changes you edit the tax class and it pushes to all properties that have that “Tax Class” attached to the listing. You would also have a Breckenridge/Vail/Park City, ETC. Editing one of these would change all properties that the Tax class was attached to. Doing this one by one is time consuming so this would be a huge help due to the number of listings I have. Example I have over 150 in one city so changing one Tax Class like the city sales tax would push out to all 15o listings. I hope this communicates well, please reach out if not. Thanks again for all your help… This will make updating taxes every year so much easier once they are attached to the each of the properties.
