I like iGMS as a platform much better than Guesty, but Guesty having SMS is a nice addition. This is especially true with direct bookings, where the email formats are ugly and seem foreign to the user, and easily missed as opposed to SMS

It's also a great channel to communicate a detail outside of the platform's view, particularly with sites like VRBO that won't let me message links with "google" in the title

Guests expect SMS or WhatsApp messages. Especially BDC guests, they never seem to get messages.

Yes, especially most of the booking.com guests are not capable of reading the messages we sent over, its kinda hidden on booking.com’s app and people just assume all accomandations on booking.com has a reception and refuse to check their emails.

I think this is becoming more & more important as a way to make sure guests receive the message.

I’m a long time iGMS pro user. This would simplify our entire workflow. Guests tend to not read anything that looks like a long paragraph. Short text messages with links to information would be absolutely ideal. Having integrated (so there’s a db of record) in case issues come up is absolutely necessary. (we have to document everything)

This would be a great feature

Even hotels are texting you with checkout times and check-in info. Guests do not want to fumble around with emails anymore.

    IGMS is way outdated.

This is a critical integration in my opinion, even if you had to use a third party app like Twilio or Zapier. People don’t always check e-mails.

I had to pay for another service to do this and manually export and upload data. It is not effective. Hosts are missing revenue and therefore will value igms less without this feature.
